School of Management Sciences is organizing national conference on Spirituality and Ethics in Management on 30-31 October 2010. The corporate scams and scandals that are happening unabated in presenttimes can be attributed to the failure of modern Management in givingproper direction to the field of business in maintaining its mutually beneficialrelationship with society and other stakeholders. Business organizationshave been questioned many times over the years for the seemingly lack ofethics in their operations, and recently the criticism has grown stronger. Atheme emerging in the Management literature is that of spirituality andethics in Management to overcome the deficiencies of modern managementtheories and practices. Interest in spirituality and ethics has grown amongmanagement scholars, practitioners, and professionals and has become asubject of serious discussion. This conference aims at providing a commonplatform for Management practitioners, professionals, academicians, andstudents to exchange, discuss, and present their ideas, thoughts, andresearch work on the theme of the conference which is “Spirituality andEthics in Management”.
